And here is another proof that the KickStarter platform is still well and alive, and here to help deserving projects come to life. Temtem, MMORPG inspired by the Pokemon franchise just saw the end of its KickStarter Campaign. While the team only hoped for a modest $70,000 to complete the project at first, the community’s interest in the title helped it obtain $574k.
Just like in Pokemon games, Temtem collectors will explore the world, meet various species and capture them, although this time it will be alongside thousands of other players. In a world consisting of six islands, reminiscent of the latest Alola region in Pokemon Sun and Moon, players will collect and pets, battle other trainers or trade with friends. Defeating all eight of the islands’ Dojo Leaders throughout the story-based campaign means that a player becomes the ultimate Temtem tamer.
Note that the game will be releasing in 2019, on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One.
