With Final Fantasy XV, Square Enix has tried to create an extensive universe and cross-media where the game would be complemented by other games, a mini-animation series, a movie and many other things. Announced in 2016 and released on September 13, 2017 on iOS and Android, King’s Knight: Wrath of the Dark Dragon is a remake of King’s Knight released in 1986 on Nes. The online services of the latter are about to end.
Older players will remember King’s Knight for its NES version, but for younger players it’s mostly a game that Noctis and his friends play regularly. Mentioned several times in FF XV, King’s Knight: Wrath of the Dark Dragon is only available for a few months. Yet Square Enix has announced that the title will soon close its doors.
We regret to inform you that we will be terminating services for King’s Knight at the end of June.
We would like to express our sincerest apologies for ending the service but we hope you have enjoyed your time with the game. Thank you all for playing. pic.twitter.com/JEe51NtJYX— Final Fantasy XV (@FFXVEN) March 26, 2018
