Scavengers Studios, the publisher of the Battle Royale game Darwin Project, just announced a rather good news, since the title becomes Free to Play on Steam! As a reminder, the game was released in Game Preview on the Xbox One console and in Early Access on Steam for about $15, and the same was expected for the Steam release.
To bring in new players and maintain a level of activity that ensures players are able to get the most out of Darwin Project, we’ve decided to make it more accessible by removing the price tag.
The developers also added that while for now the Xbox One version will keep its pay to play model, they will not forget these players and simply stated that they would provide more information on the matter with a vague “soon”.
Coming back to PC gamers, as good news never comes alone, Scavengers Studios announced that they would offer early adopters a loot bag full of what is believed to be cosmetics, as a way to compensate them.
