According to Game Informer, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is making it’s way to the Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One. Set to release sometime this holiday season.
The studio Obsidian is developing the main game while Red Cerberus (a fairly new company that specializes in localization and porting, based in Brazil) is in charge of the console ports.
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is a direct sequel to the highly acclaimed title Obsidian brought out in 2015. It’s considered a CRPG (which stands for computer role-playing game), but now it can be extended to consoles! The RPG features an isometric perspective in which you “captain your ship on a dangerous voyage of discovery across the vast unexplored archipelago region of the Deadfire.”
Pillars of Eternity II’s PC release is coming soon on April 3. Consoles would surely have to wait longer seeing as it’s set for Holiday 2018, but it’ll be worth it!
