Ashes of Creation Apocalypse is finally about to enter our gaming libraries. For those of you that missed it, at the beginning of last November, Intrepid studio (from which the MMORPG Ashes of Creation is expected ) announced its roadmap: while awaiting its release, Ashes of Creation will logically be tested in mass and the studio announced its intention to freely distribute the games modes that are currently used as test frameworks.
More concretely, the developer tests the future combat mechanics of his MMORPG in various game modes, first a “Battle Royale” pitting 100 players against each other and making them fight to the last survivor, then a “Fortress Siege” mode in which two factions (a hundred attackers and a hundred defenders) clash for the control of a bastion and finally a “Horde” mode inviting players to cooperate to defend their city from successive invasions of cohorts of monsters.
The Battle Royale mode is already playable (the Siege and Horde modes should follow) and the Intreprid studio decided to make it it an autonomous title, Ashes of Creation Apocalypse. This standalone is intended for free distribution “pending the MMORPG Ashes of Creation” and will kick off an open beta on December 18 – playable on the platform of the publisher My.com, via the official website, which specifies that US and European players will play on the same infrastructure. It was also confirmed that the cosmetic objects won in Ashes of Creation Apocalypse can be preserved in the MMORPG Ashes of Creation.
